Shift: Day Shift – 10 hour weekday shifts 7a – 5:30p with call.
Position PurposeRegistered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab RN works in a collaborative environment y's Health Care System to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience, caring for the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
What You Will Do- Cardiac Cath Lab is a procedural unit consisting of two labs—where we stop heart attacks.
- Under limited supervision, the RN assesses patients, develops, evaluates, and modifies care plans, and performs complex patient‑care procedures specific to their expertise.
- RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team, accountable for working as a team to achieve patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
- The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- The RN provides care via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, technology, and other health‑care team members, adhering to established standards.
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing or deemed substantially equivalent.
- Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
- Prior experience in Cardiac Care preferred; prior PACU or Critical Care experience acceptable. Must hold BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
