RN - Med Surg, Trauma, Weekend Option

Piedmont – Athens, GA

Full‑time, 7 am–7 pm days with optional weekend coverage. Sign‑on bonus available. Weekend differential available.

The surgery unit has 29 beds and serves a diverse patient population, including surgical, trauma, and medical cases ranging from the neck to the gut. Services include GI surgeries (colon resections, small bowel resections, cholecystectomies, appendectomies), vascular surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, maxillofacial procedures, and more. Patients may require ostomy, NGT, feeding tubes, drains, chest tubes, or tracheostomy. The unit is part of a level 2 trauma center.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Operate within Piedmont’s policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient‑care activities of all assigned staff to deliver quality nursing care.

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
• Current license in Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• Advanced certification in a specialty, if applicable.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Hospital‑setting experience preferred.
