The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct patient care in a correctional setting, including administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with treatments, and documenting care. This role will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care while adhering to facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will also support patient education and contribute to a safe and efficient healthcare environment.

- Provide direct patient care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care as necessary.
- Document promptly and properly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external providers to ensure the continuity of care and address any concerns.
- Report any issues with medical equipment or facilities to the appropriate personnel.
- A current, valid state(s) licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.
- Active CPR/BLS certificate required prior to Start Date (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).
