The Pulmonary Unit is growing. Clinical staff work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists and respiratory therapists to provide high‑quality care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues. In the state‑of‑the‑art Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurse provides high‑quality nursing care to acute‑care patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of patients.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff.
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios based on volume and acuity of patient needs.

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree, advanced certification in specialty.
• Preferred:
  One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting for PRN positions.
