Join the dedicated Labor & Delivery team at Piedmont Athens, where compassionate care and clinical excellence go hand in hand. Our unit includes 2 operating rooms, 2 pre‑operative/PACU rooms, 14 labor rooms and 4 OB/ED beds that support approximately 3,000 deliveries annually. We provide comprehensive care for a wide range of patients and obstetric needs—from triage and labor to surgical delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care.

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The nurse operates within the organization's policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates patient‑care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a nursing program
• Minimum Experience: New graduates of a nursing program eligible
• License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Georgia (or NLC/eNLC Multistate License) and BLS certification required
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of hospital nursing experience for PRN positions;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
