• Utilize various telecommunications technology to provide patient care.
• Manage electronic and telephonic patient messages and triage to physicians or other healthcare team members.
• Determine appropriateness and acuity of patient needs based on message content and prioritize accordingly.
• Receive and manage incoming calls from a dedicated call queue.
• Apply nursing assessment and critical thinking skills to evaluate and triage patients virtually.
• Evaluate emergency situations and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Communicate member queries requiring physician or healthcare team involvement in a timely manner.
• Provide telephonic and electronic interactions with patients requiring follow-up care.
• Accurately document patient data, actions, interventions, and responses to treatment.
• Schedule appointments and manage orders as outlined by clinicians.
