American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with orthopedic and neuro surgical experience for a 14-week assignment with weekend and call requirements.
Requirements- Active GA or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Orthopedic and neuro surgical experience required
- Ability to circulate and perform conscious sedation
- Scrub and trauma experience preferred
- Operating Room setting with 17 OR rooms
- Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:30-19:00)
- Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday
- Every other weekend required
- Weekend call possible depending on shift assignment
- On-call requirement of 6 call shifts in 6 weeks
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Uses Pyxis system and Epic EMR
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Maximum 7 days of RTO permitted
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
- Candidates must be fully compliant by start date to avoid a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former Piedmont permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be away for one full year before returning as a traveler
