Duties / Responsibilities- Under supervision: mowing grass, managing weeds and pests, trimming shrubs and trees, and removing leaves and debris. (70% of time)
- Maintaining landscape equipment. (20% of time)
- Planting flower beds, shrubs and trees, mulching, irrigating, and other related landscape duties. (10% of time)

Position SummaryUnder supervision, this position will provide assistance maintaining the grounds on the UGA Griffin Campus. Work includes planting flower beds; irrigating; planting and trimming shrubs and trees; mowing grass; spraying pesticides; trimming shrubs; helping maintain lawn equipment; and other related grounds keeping duties.
Relevant / Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, CertificationGraduated from a high school and experience in grounds maintenance work is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesFollow instructions and work with grounds maintenance equipment.
Physical DemandsWorking outside under adverse weather conditions; heavy lifting; walking; standing; reaching; turning; bending; climbing; proper use and operations of landscape equipment.
