Greenhouse care and maintenance activities such as planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, propagation, cleaning pots, and sanitizing floors and benches to maintain a clean and productive growing environment in the greenhouses and outside in the nursery area.

The responsibilities of the Greenhouse and Garden/Grounds Assistant involve general greenhouse work and maintenance activities such as watering, fertilizing, weeding, planting, cleaning, and plant propagation. Assistants work alongside the Greenhouse Manager to maintain and operate three production greenhouses and outdoor nursery, gaining valuable hands‑on experience.

Greenhouse and maintenance experience.

Basic plant propagation (i.e., seed sowing, seed collection, asexual propagation).

Working outside during adverse weather conditions. Strenuous physical activity including weeding, watering, lifting and moving potted plants, and planting. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
