Groundskeeper III

Position Summary

Responsible for performing all groundskeeping related tasks at the Institute.

• Grounds maintenance – mowing, trimming, pruning, pine straw application (70%)
• Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems (5%)
• Ground equipment operation and maintenance (backhoe, tractors, dump truck, aerial boom lift, variety of mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, hand tools) (20%)
• Pickup and disposal of trash, debris (5%)
• Fertilizer application (5%)

• Grounds-keeping experience
• Experience with operation and maintenance of basic Grounds equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Lifting heavy objects, stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time. Lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Stoop, squat, operate lawn mower, edger, blower, aerator, roller, irrigation controllers, etc.
• Work in both hot and cold outdoor climates.
• Driving as needed to perform job duties.
