- Utilize state-of-the-art technologies, including genomics and computational biology, to identify novel thiosulfinate gene clusters in diverse bacterial pathogens affecting Alliums
- Work closely with key industry stakeholders; train undergraduate and graduate students, maintain research records, synthesize data, present results at local and national conferences, and prepare scientific manuscripts for publication
- Investigate pathosystems involving onion, garlic, and Japanese bunching onion
