Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Laboratory work (40%) – conduct laboratory, greenhouse, and field work including making media, culturing fungi, extracting DNA, conducting PCR, planting seed, and collecting data.
  • Greenhouse work (30%) – perform greenhouse tasks related to plant research.
  • Field work – perform field tasks related to plant pathology research.
  • Position summary – conduct laboratory, greenhouse and field work including making media, culturing fungi, extracting DNA, conducting PCR, planting seed, and collecting data.
  • Job classification – Temporary Technical Paraprofessional.
  • FLSA status – Non‑Exempt.
  • FTE – 1.00.
Education and Experience

Completed two years of high school. Some experience in field work and laboratory work.

Physical Demands

Work outdoors in heat and lift up to 25 pounds.
