Research Scientist, Biomedical Science
The University of Georgia is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in the lab of Dr. Yao. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, genetics, neuroscience, cell biology, bioinformatics, or related fields, and will be responsible for conducting research and supervising student workers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in stem cell/iPSC culture, mouse genetics, high-throughput genomic approaches, and data analysis, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. A track record of productivity and publications in well-established journals is essential.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in the lab (90% of time)
- Supervise student workers, including undergraduate students assisting with research (10% of time)
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology, genetics, neuroscience, cell biology, bioinformatics)
- Prior experience in stem cell/iPSC culture, mouse genetics, high-throughput genomic approaches, and data analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Track record of productivity and publications in well-established journals
This position is located in Athens, GA, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in a typical office/lab environment with minimal lifting and bending.
