Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
Greenhouse – tender plants in greenhouse. Plant, weed, fertilize, water, pollination, harvest, disease screening, and data collection
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with field breeding research- collect plant samples, label, flag, stake, data collection, pollinations, making breeding crosses, disease screening
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with basic lab protocols
- Nucleic acid extraction, and other vegetable breeding related research
Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with basic lab maintenance and chores – wash glassware, autoclave supplies, prepare basic solutions and media, take away trash, etc.

Selected applicant will provide assistance in greenhouse research activities including potting, planting, fertilizing, watering, weeding, pollinating, data collection, disease screening, and harvesting plants belonging to different breeding populations.
