Position SummaryThe postdoctoral associate will conduct research on a pre-specified project as well as projects of their own design and publish that research. The postdoc will take on senior responsibilities like research mentoring, grant writing, and publishing. Primary responsibilities will include management and implementation of tissue engineering studies in the Harbor Lights Laboratory. A research leader with background in biomaterials and cell biology is needed to manage and coordinate the day-to-day research activities in the laboratory.
Relevant/PreferredEducation, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Applicants must have a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, with a background in Bioengineering or Cell Biology, or a related area of science.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesFamiliarity with biomaterials and cellular engineering; preferred knowledge of molecular genetic, biochemical, histological and immunological techniques to examine factors affecting cell behaviors on biomaterial substrates.
