Position Summary: This position will assist faculty and staff with greenhouse, research and field plots as well as help with extension and teaching activities. The role involves indoor and outdoor work with minimum supervision and occasional out‑of‑town travel to research plots. Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software is a plus.

• Nursery/Greenhouse – potting, pruning, weeding, grafting, seeding, data entry, maintaining research plots, watering, fertiliser and pesticide applications, running and maintaining nursery equipment (50% of time).
• Laboratory – washing dishes, preparing and processing research samples, data entry, running and maintaining lab equipment (25% of time).
• Teaching & Extension – assist with preparation of weed science lab teaching activities and editing extension publications.

• High School diploma or GED (training provided).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and general mechanical aptitude.
• Computer experience in word processing, spreadsheets and graphics software is a plus.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in inclement weather (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.).
