Position SummaryThis is a field researcher position who will assist with trapping, telemetry monitoring, and sampling of various mammals. Work will be conducted in field conditions and be subject to various climate factors (high temps, cold temps, rain, etc.).
Responsibilities- Assist with the trapping and placement of telemetry equipment on primarily wild pigs and other large mammals. (50% of time)
- Assist with the sample collection of various samples (Blood, tissue, hair, etc.) from various species of animals. (20% of time)
- Responsible for tracking through telemetry and camera devices a variety of animal species. (30% of time)
- Bachelor's degree with previous mammal field work.
- 2 years field research experience.
Lift 50 lbs. Driving is required.
