Position Summary:
The Zeltner Lab () at the University of Georgia’s Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM) is seeking a creative, motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow to drive a research project supported by a NIH / NINDS grant, focused on employing human pluripotent stem cells to model diseases of the peripheral nervous system. This is a multidisciplinary project with enormous training opportunities in stem cell biology, neuroscience and human disease modeling.
This project encompasses multiple collaborations across the US. There are various career development opportunities available to the candidate, including a potential biotech start-up co-appointment. The start date is flexible but aimed at summer 2026. The University of Georgia offers a highly collaborative, top-notch training and research environment in biomedical sciences.
- PhD degree in biological/life sciences is required.
- Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques is needed, and experience with stem cells is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional work ethic and the ability to function within a highly interactive and interdisciplinary research community are essential.
