Location:

Burton 4‑H Center on Tybee Island. Work involves food preparation, serving, and cleaning the food service areas under direct supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent

Duties / Responsibilities

• Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers ranging from young children to senior citizens. (35%)
• Clean and sanitize the work area, operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables, and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds, walkways and walls of the food service building. (35%)
• Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items. (20%)
• Other tasks as assigned. (10%)

• Follow written and/or oral procedures and practices and implement procedures, methods, and activities developed by others.

Physical Demands

• High level of activity in a hot kitchen
• Prolonged standing
• Lifting up to 25-50 pounds
• Driving as needed to perform job duties
