Technician - Level 1

Overview

Technician 1 role at Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way to avoid downtime. Fleet varies by location and may include Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment; specialty lines locations may have large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment to build skills and support career growth.
• Contribute to a safety-focused team environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May need to provide tools of the trade; bilingual ability may be required based on location needs.

The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.

Base Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.32 per hour. Starting pay varies based on factors including location, education, training and experience. Sunbelt provides a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees (effective on the first of the month following 30 days from start):
