This position is responsible for preparation and paint related work on Campus facilities including determining painting needs, color blending and matching and sequences of painting operations and method. Employee functions will include maintaining tool and equipment, paint stock and proper paint disposal.
Duties/Responsibilities- Thorough knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools and practices of the painting trade.
- Considerable knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- Ability to successfully manage hazardous waste satellite facility.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and university personnel.
- Skilled in the use of standard tools and equipment of the trade.
- Ability to lift and carry 45 pounds.
Use hands to reach and handle tools and objects; climb ladders and scaffolds; work from heights; lift up to 40 pounds; drive forklift and vehicles.
