Preferred Qualifications Position SummaryThis position has an expert level of technical knowledge and skills for the operation and maintenance of the UGA campus building chilled water production system. This system is comprised of various sized chillers, cooling towers, chilled water and condenser water pumps, distribution piping, control valves, actuators, the systems automation control and the chiller
microprocessor control, and other components. This position has an expert level of mechanical skills and technical knowledge to monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair the system at the district plants and at various buildings on campus. This position works independently to complete tasks within this competency.
This position has expert level technical knowledge and skills in the operation, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and
repair of building chilled water and hot water production systems and components. The application of this expertise includes
but is not limited to performing checks and taking corrective action to ensure the building chilled water production systems
are delivering chilled water per the designed flow, quantity, and temperature requirements as set forth in the engineering
design specifications. This expert level worker has the knowledge to independently diagnose and solve a wide range of
operational issues that arise from the mechanical, electrical, and automated controls of the building chilled water and hot
