Full Time. Benefits Eligible. Working hours typically 9:30pm – 8:00am, Sunday – Thursday (four 10-hour days); hours may vary and include weekends. Salary: $34,500 - $41,500;
Commensurate with Experience.

• Basic to complex maintenance work on vehicles as assigned by supervisor. Include troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, assembly and/or installation of automotive and diesel engines, transmissions, and large and small electric/pneumatic/hydraulic components, and chassis repairs on buses and other fleet vehicles.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Complete work orders, inventory and parts usage reports and other associated paperwork in a timely manner.
• Fuel and service late night vehicles to prepare for next day operation. Complete associated paperwork.
• Attend classroom and other training as available.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, formal training programs, or on-the-job training. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or
  
  Competencies:
  
  Demonstrated ability to maintain heavy-duty diesel vehicles, troubleshoot and repair complex systems (electrical/electronics, climate control, diesel engines and transmissions). Ability to use computers for diagnosis and parts look-ups.
• Physical Demands:
  Heavy lifting, work in confined spaces, stooping, kneeling, standing on ladders and work platforms. Driving.
• Additional requirements:
  
  Driving is a responsibility of this position;
  Position of Trust;
  Not a P-Card essential function;
  Security access as applicable.
• Background and Credit:
  Credit/background checks may be required; pre-employment drug test for high-risk roles where applicable.

• 70%:
  Primary maintenance and repair work as described above.
• 10%:
  Keep work area clean and safe.
• 5%:
  Complete work orders, inventory and parts usage reports.
• Other duties as assigned: fuel/service late night vehicles, attend training, and perform other tasks.
