Preferred Qualifications Position SummaryThis employee serves primarily to assist senior trades-persons in efforts to maintain and repair mechanical and/or structural components and features of the University of Georgia's built environment. The person serving in this position can demonstrate an ability to engage and complete intermediate repairs and tasks independently, such as repair or replacement tasks of mechanical HVAC equipment, heat exchangers, various water and steam distribution components and pumps, minor plumbing issues.
Apprentice. Assistant/Helper, accomplishes small routine maintenance tasks. Limited but Developing Skill-set. Routine Complexity. Will perform basic installation, repair and replacement of components of electrical, plumbing, chilled water, and/or steam distribution systems.
