Position Summary

Maintain the grounds and commons areas for Athletic facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily maintenance of playing surfaces at various athletic facilities including mowing, irrigating, and traveling to the various athletic facilities.
  • Assist with maintenance of common areas at athletic facilities.
  • Assist with game day setup for various sporting events.
  • Assist with fertilizer applications at various athletic fields.
  • Assist with painting playing field at Sanford Stadium and other athletic facilities for practice and games.
  • Assist with post‑game care of playing surfaces at Sanford Stadium (filling divots, removal of team benches and dog house).
  • Perform other related work as required.

Physical Demands

Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel, bend, stoop; and reach with hands and arms. Sit and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. Noise level is moderate, escalating to high during practice and athletic competitions. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
