This is a semi-skilled part time position at the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island operating buses. The work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of vehicular equipment and usually involves some equipment maintenance duties and other semi-skilled work relating to the equipment and building maintenance activities. Employees will receive definite and detailed instructions from a supervisor at the time of appointment.
The work is performed according to established procedures with frequent daily inspections.
- Drive bus with students to and from field study sights (80% of time).
- Occasionally drive to local schools to pick-up or drop-off local day groups (10% of time).
- Clean buses, including sweeping, washing windshield, dashboard (10% of time).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a bus or truck, or equivalent training/experience.
Sitting for long periods of time and occasional light lifting in indoor and outdoor environment.
