Base pay range$13,500.00/yr - $13,500.00/yr
ResponsibilitiesThe graduate assistant, as a member of the CSSR team, will be responsible for assisting with the overall administration of the Ohio University Student Code of Conduct. Specific responsibilities of the graduate assistant include:
- Provide administrative support to the office including but not limited to; assistance in the coverage of the office for walk-ins and telephone traffic; records and database maintenance; correspondence management; and assisted supervision of daily office functions.
- Administer the community standards process for students allegedly involved in violations of the Student Code of Conduct. The graduate assistant will ensure that the student understands the process and charges and will determine both disciplinary and educational sanctions as appropriate.
- Conduct Administrative Hearings to determine an accused students responsibility when a student denies charges
- Assist with campus outreach and educational programming efforts (e.g., in-class presentations, educational interventions, etc.)
- Assist with the recruitment, selection, training, scheduling, and advising of the University Hearing Board.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Must be a graduate student currently enrolled in an Ohio University academic program. Must have strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to individuals pursuing degrees in Higher Education and Students Affairs. Individuals with experience in process facilitation and navigation are encouraged to apply.
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.

Graduate Assistants are expected to work a total of 300 hours over the course of the semester (approx. 20 hours/week). There is currently one anticipated opening for the academic year.
