Intermittent Event Staff Attendant – Parking Operations (Pool Posting)
Ohio University – support university parking operations during special events by providing front‑line customer service, traffic control, and operational support to ensure a welcoming experience for event attendees, university guests, faculty, staff, and students.
Base Pay Range$11.60/hr – $17.40/hr
Position SummaryGreets customers, offers general parking & directional assistance, and addresses customer inquiries. Monitors parking areas to ensure efficient use of space and directs vehicles to available parking spaces to maintain traffic flow. Operates handheld devices for parking verification or payment collection as applicable and may assist with setup and breakdown of event‑related equipment. Reports any safety issues, equipment concerns, or policy violations to supervisor on duty.
Responsibilities- Greets customers and provides general parking and directional assistance.

- Directs vehicles to available parking spaces to maintain traffic flow.
- Operates handheld devices for parking verification or payment collection.
- Assists with setup and breakdown of event‑related equipment.
- Reports safety issues, equipment concerns, or policy violations to supervisor on duty.
- Works outdoors in all weather conditions; walking and standing required.
Walking, standing, and operating in all weather conditions. Ability to drive and maneuver within parking facilities may be required.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of job functions.
- Certain positions may require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Experience working with the public.

Employment TypeIntermittent, scheduled on an as‑needed basis with a maximum of 1,000 hours per rolling 12‑month period. Must be able to work nights, weekends, evenings, and other times as required.
