Emergency Medicine Physician

Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician looking for a rewarding locum role in Athens, Ohio? We re seeking a dedicated provider to join the team at a busy 21-bed ED, with consistent shifts and competitive pay plus the possibility to cover another site at Cambridge, OH!

• Payrate: $270/hr

• Start Date: ASAP once credentialed

• Shifts: 12-hour shifts, both days (7a-7p) and nights (7p-7a)

• Volume: 25,000 annual visits

• Setting: 21-bed ED using EPIC EMR

• Admission Rate: 10.6%

• Transfer Rate: 9.9%, transfers to Ohio Health facilities (Grant, Riverside, Doctors)

• Deliver expert emergency care in a fast-paced setting

• Collaborate with APPs covering staggered shifts (9a-9p, 11a-11p, 5p-5a)

• Manage admissions and transfers with a focus on quality patient care

• Support a team that values clinical excellence and work-life balance

• ABEM/ABMS/AOA Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, IM, or FM (no exceptions)

• OH medical license or IMLC

• Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications

• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in emergency medicine

• COVID-19 vaccinated

• Availability for nights and weekends (required)

• Clean background required

• Malpractice coverage

• Travel & Lodging covered
