Graduate Assistant for Bus Ops

Base Pay Range

$15,300.00/yr - $15,300.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Assist with application review, interviewing, and selection of student staff for business operations.
  • Supervise second floor business operations student staff and manage a staff of 7-12 student service ambassadors.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of student staff training and development, evaluate and recommend improvements, and create official training documents.
  • Provide front line customer service to students in room selection processes, facilitate selection events, and develop and facilitate information sessions.
  • Oversee records management processes for business operations, manage ongoing room assignment processes, and facilitate Mutual Room Swap and assignment of floor sections and communities.
  • Provide staffing, scheduling, and support for Resource Fairs for Undergraduate Admissions, tabulate materials, attend weekly supervision, serve in on-call duty rotation and collaborate with teams, and maintain inclusion development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Graduate student currently enrolled in an Ohio University academic program.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some Housing/Residence Life (HRL) experience (preferred).
  • Strong administrative capabilities, passion for working with students and staff, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Enrolled in the College Student Personnel or related graduate program.
Working Conditions

Primarily desk-based, extensive use of desktop computers, occasional travel to attend meetings and programs.
