Instructor, Biological Sciences (Part-time, non-tenure track, POOL POSTING)
We are accepting resumes/CVs for potential openings in the Biological Sciences department for the academic year . Applications to this pool will be considered to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non‑benefits eligible instructor positions at the Athens campus. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

This position is eligible for the following benefits: sick leave and retirement.
The ideal candidate will have a record of outstanding undergraduate teaching, especially in the planning and delivery of introductory biology lecture courses, as demonstrated by assessments of teaching effectiveness, participation in professional development programs on teaching practices, and experience with innovative practices in instructional design and technology. Previous experience teaching and coordinating online programs is a plus but not required.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in biology or a related field by the time of appointment.
- A demonstrated commitment to outstanding undergraduate education.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English, at a native or near‑native level.
- PhD in biology or another closely related field.
- Experience in online teaching and technology.
- Experience in training and mentoring graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants.
