Job Description

The Department of Educational Studies in Ohio University's Patton College of Education invites nominations and applications for an adjunct instructor pool within the department of Educational Studies. Applications should be sent to noted link above. Nominations may be sent to Educational Studies department chair, Dr. Jesse Strycker (strycker). Nominees will then be requested to complete the application process.

The successful candidate(s) will be assigned a course(s) to teach in Educational Research and Evaluation, offering doctoral and master's degree programs and an online certificate in mixed methods research.

The successful candidate(s) may be assigned to teach graduate students on the Athens campus, one of the regional campuses, and/or online.

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. earned prior to appointment, from an accredited university, in educational statistics, measurement, and evaluation, educational psychology, or a closely related field.
• Experience in educational research in one or more of the following areas: PK-12 education, higher education, community-based programs, educational organizations, policy arenas, and other education-related settings.
• Experience teaching graduate students in applied statistics or related area or a demonstrated ability to convey complex statistical concepts to diverse audiences.
• A strong methodological/statistical background and experience with SPSS, jamovi, or R statistical software.
• Familiarity with research ethics and the Institutional Review Board processes.

• Excellent communication, collegial, and interpersonal skills
• Evidence of effective in-person and online experience teaching adults
• Advanced knowledge of and experience teaching statistical software (e.g., SPSS , jamovi, or R)
