Job Description SummaryExternal applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus with a one‑year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.
O'Bleness Hospital is hiring a full‑time, variable‑shift Radiology Technologist to work in their growing Radiology department. This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by Ohio Health and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Responsibilities And Duties- 40%:
Performs diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies and specialized fluoroscopy studies using digital fluoroscope equipment; maintains proficiency and provides radiation safety for operator and patient. - 40%:
Obtains diagnostic radiographs. Places patient in proper positions, adheres to department policy, manipulates equipment, adjusts technical factors to assure optimal images, critiques images, repeats as necessary. - 15%:
Prepares patients for examination. Receives orders, greets patient, explains procedure, ensures clothing and jewelry removal, starts IBS and draws up medications. - 5%:
Performs miscellaneous related duties. Assumes duties of electronic imaging technician, processes images for interpretation, imports and burns CDs, performs QC tests on X‑ray unit, works with students under program guidelines.
High School or GED (Required). BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association.
Specialized KnowledgeGraduate of an approved accredited radiography program. Registered with ARRT; ODH Ohio Radiologic License, BLS certification. Thorough knowledge of medical imaging procedures, equipment, technique, positioning, ionizing radiation, contrast media, radiographic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Demonstrates superior customer service skills, pleasant demeanor, neat, poised appearance. Able to function as a team member with limited supervision. Highly motivated with effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
