Ohio University is hiring a Media Relations Specialist in University Communications and Marketing to contribute to the university's storytelling and content marketing. The role reports to the Media Relations Manager and works to raise the university's national profile through targeted media relations. It also leads the Calendar of University Events.
Highlights- Carry out internal and external communications initiatives that support the university's mission
- Raise the national profile of the university through targeted media relations
- Refine media engagement tactics and explore new communications opportunities
- Track and report on outreach success with tools such as Muck Rack, TVEyes, and Google Analytics
- Use data to recommend improvements to external communications strategy
- Serve as team leader for the Calendar of University Events
- Requires a bachelor's degree and five or more years of related professional experience
- Target salary range $43,888 to $51,377
