Description

Responsibilities
  • Operates department equipment safely and properly.
  • Implements proper techniques and positioning.
  • Knows and practices radiation safety.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform Contrast Media exams, surgery exams, and portable exams.
  • Prepares and stocks room for exams.
  • Follows department protocol for communicating with patients, doctors, and co-workers.
  • Follows proper procedure for quality controls related to equipment and accessories.
  • Practices Infection Control
  • Demonstrates ability to carry out staff duties.
  • Maintains CEU’s.
  • Maintains current certification with the ARRT & participates in mandatory continuing education.
  • Maintains flexible scheduling, including holidays & weekends, to ensure that the department is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Gives appropriate customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers while showing courtesy, compassion, and respect.
  • Demonstrates good problem solving abilities, making sure that problems are taken care of, calling on other knowledgeable parties as necessary.
  • Chooses appropriate channels and times to discuss complaints or concerns.
  • Maintains confidentiality by following hospital rules and reminding others when necessary.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement activities by making suggestions for improvement and helping to make positive changes.
  • Keeps supervisor appropriately informed of daily activities and developments.
  • Accurately performs assignments in a timely manner.
  • Is consistently on time and has good attendance.
  • Stays informed regarding hospital and department issues by attending meetings, reading

  • Licensure: ARRT, State License, or eligible for certification.
  • Education:

    Graduate from a 24 mo. Accredited program
