Description

Registered Respiratory Therapist - FT POSITION

• Administers routine respiratory therapeutics, sets up and maintains all oxygen delivery devises, as prescribed by the patient s physician, and as described in the Cardiopulmonary Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Performs routine cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, as prescribed by the patient s physician, and as described in the Cardiopulmonary Policies and Procedures Manual. CRT/RRT/Elig-Beside PFT, EKG s, ABG, Peak Flow, Pulse Ox set up and spot checks, Cardiac Stress Testing, Complete PFT s, as well as Pulmonary evaluations and consults.
• Possesses and utilizes knowledge of manual and mechanical ventilator management techniques.
• Has a working knowledge of respiratory disease entities and related treatment modalities, and has the ability to provide educational communication to the patient regarding such topics as pulmonary rehab and breathing training, instruction on post op care.
• Assumes supervisory responsibilities at the request of and in the absence of the department director (RRT only)
• Performs all procedures in ICU and Emergency Center (CRT/RRT/Elig. only)

Must possess TN Registered Respiratory Therapist Licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP.
