American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years critical care experience and ACLS certification.

• Work in a 5-bed ICU (expanding to 10 beds) within an acute care hospital
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatrics
• Patient ratios of 2-3:1
• Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric/SI cases
• Uses ventilators, BiPAPs, drips, and glucometers
• Charting in Medhost EMR
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating required

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

• Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients
• Collaborative team environment with close-knit unit culture
• Scrub color is flexible; casual wear is not acceptable attire
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Previous permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not permitted
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
