American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a geriatric dementia unit requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.
Requirements- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Experience working with dementia patients required
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
- Inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit with 24 beds
- Patient population is geriatric (50+) with dementia and behavioral disturbances
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Uses Medhost EMR
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients with dementia and behavioral disturbances
- Work within a calm, team-oriented environment that values getting along well with others
- Scrubs must be solid colors and facial piercings are not permitted
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
