Maintenance Tech - FT - Athens -

Starr Athens Regional Medical Center

• Maintenance Tech - FT - Athens position available. Variable shifts.
• This position will consist of 80% of time working as a paint tech and 20% of time working as a mechanical tech.
• Maintains paint and drywall finish in hospital facilities. Performs other minor mechanical maintenance task as directed. Performs preventative maintenance on facilities equipment.
• Assist with grounds maintenance as directed. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Will be required to work at both Athens and Etowah facilities. Performs other task as directed by the DPO.
• Performs plumbing, strong electrical, HVAC and light carpentry duties. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment. Accesses needs and orders needed repair and replacement parts. Has a working knowledge of the Nurse Call System, fire alarm system, generator and boiler system, heat and air units, pneumatic system, vacuum and chiller system and pumps and motors. Has a working knowledge of hospital beds, televisions and power tools, and kitchen equipment.
  
  Assists in maintenance of the building (i.e. painting, wallpaper).
• Has a working understanding of the principles of electricity (voltage, resistance and current). Maintains & programs telephone systems (i.e. voice mail, etc.). Performs tests on various systems in the hospital. Works as onsite security.

• Qualifications:
• Must be experienced and proficient in both painting and drywall finishing.
• Experience in commercial construction is preferred.
• 2-5 years as a painter / drywall finisher
• Electrical background with control trouble shooting required
