SUMMARY

Receives and pays out money and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved

in financial transactions by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
• Cash’s checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enters customer’s transactions into their teller software to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts if applicable.
• Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds if applicable.
• Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer in accordance with policies and procedures and compares totaled amounts with data provided in teller software.
• Assists with balancing the vault(s), coin machine, TCR/TCD, and ATM if needed.
• Scan and process “work” prior to the end of the business day.
• Completes all required Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
• Removes deposits from the night depository, counts and balances cash in, and receipts each deposit.
• Accepts and applies loan payments.
• Receives and completes transfers on credit card advances.
• Other duties may be assigned.
