• UT Health Athens is a 127‑bed facility, including a 24‑hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level IV stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10‑bed ICU; maternity unit; radiation therapy center; and a stand‑alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and/or invasive procedures, as directed by a radiologist, by performing the following duties. The patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, young–middle aged adult, and geriatric patients.

• Graduate (or final semester) of an ARDMS approved Ultrasound program. Knowledge and ability to operate all ultrasound equipment and perform required exams.
• Must be ARDMS registered or registration eligible within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
