Job SummaryEngineering Technician I supports equipment maintenance and production activities by assisting with basic preventive maintenance tasks, following detailed instructions, and learning troubleshooting techniques. The role involves working closely with experienced technicians and engineers in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities- Assist with performing preventive maintenance under close supervision.
- Follow detailed instructions to clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
- Support operators by learning and helping with standard production processes.
- Help with equipment installation activities as directed.
- Support in documenting maintenance activities and test run results.
- Follow established Quality Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions.
- Use foundational computer skills to record data and communicate within the team.
- Learn to identify equipment problems and report issues to supervisors or lead technicians.
- Participate in team activities and listen to guidance from experienced staff.
- Work within ISO 13485 and 9001:2000 regulatory requirements.
- Associate degree or two-year technical degree preferred
- Trade Certification and relevant experience (typically +2 years)
- Equivalent applied relevant experience (typically 3+ years)
- Typically less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
- Foundational communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with team members.
- Foundational math skills for recording data accurately.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD tools (such as Solid Works) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
