In Home Healthcare LVN – Night Shifts (Low Acuity)

• Provide direct patient care as defined under the state Nurse Practice Act using sound judgment and critical thinking
• Implement the plan of care and treatment initiated by the registered nurse
• Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process
• Conduct ongoing assessments
• Observe client condition and accurately report to the registered nurse
• Perform all skills, treatments, and procedures, competency in accordance with the scope of practice and adheres to policies, procedures, and protocols
• Follow principles of infection control and Universal Precautions

• Graduate of National League of Nursing accredited practical or vocational school of nursing
• Unencumbered Texas LVN license
• Minimum of one year nursing experience required; three years preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Minimum of two references (professional and personal)
