The Queen Elizabeth Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Maths to join our modern, 11-16 mixed academy based in Atherstone. We pride ourselves on a supportive, high‑performing teaching team and a commitment to professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver and assess a challenging, knowledge‑rich mathematics curriculum that inspires all pupils.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to share best practice, contribute to school improvement, and support the development of the wider teaching curriculum.
- Mentor and support early career teachers (ECTs) and other staff as part of the school’s CPD programme.
- Maintain accurate pupil records, reflect on teaching practice and contribute to the school’s appraisal cycle.
- Actively promote and safeguard pupils’ safety, well‑being and welfare in accordance with statutory duty.
- Qualified teacher (QTS) with a strong background in mathematics.
- Experience of teaching a broad range of pupils, ideally in a state school setting.
- A commitment to high expectations and a passion for developing pupils’ mathematical understanding.
- Good organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and a desire to learn and develop.
- Experience supporting early career teachers (ECTs) is an advantage.
