Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary Scale: NJC 6 - 10

Actual Salary: £22,353 - £23,819 per annum / FTE Salary: £25,988 - £27,693 per annum

Overview: The Queen Elizabeth Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated fixed term Teaching Assistant who will work well as part of a team committed to providing the best for our students. You will support pupils' learning and help prepare them for their future working lives.

As a key member of the learning support team, you will work under the guidance and instruction of designated teaching/senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes that enable access to learning for pupils. You will assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, and your work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under the guidance of teaching staff.

You will need:

• Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above
• Previous experience of working with children
• Strong multi‑tasking, organisational and time‑management skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
