Planning Enforcement Officer

Position

A client within the public sector based in North Warwickshire is currently recruiting for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join their Development Control / Planning Enforcement Team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full‑time, temporary position on an ongoing basis
, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority planning enforcement environment
.

To support the Council’s statutory duties in relation to planning enforcement under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and associated legislation, managing complex enforcement cases and contributing to service performance, quality standards, and customer‑focused outcomes.

• Investigating alleged breaches of planning control and unauthorised development, taking ownership of complex enforcement cases from start to resolution.
• Preparing, issuing, and managing Planning Contravention Notices, Enforcement Notices, Requisition s for Information, and related documentation.
• Processing enforcement‑related planning applications and monitoring compliance with planning conditions and Section 106 Agreements.
