The Role

Interaction Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and safety-focused organisation, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently through a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on plant and production equipment
Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting audits/compliance

What We’re Looking For

Engineering qualification or time-served experience
Background in manufacturing, production, or heavy industry
Ability to work a rotating shift pattern (days, lates, nights)
Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills
Desirable:
Welding, fabrication, or plant maintenance experience
