Overview
CSO is looking for a Therapeutic Mentor/Therapeutic Training and Support Specialist for our Family Support Services team in Athol. Join to apply for the Therapeutic Mentor/Therapeutic Training and Support, Athol role at Clinical & Support Options, Inc. The main focus of these services is to alleviate the youth's mental health issues and strengthen the family structures and supports.
Responsibilities- Provide community-based direct care services to children and families as part of the Family Support Services Program.
- Deliver Therapeutic Mentoring: structured, one-to-one, strength-based support services between a therapeutic mentor and a youth for daily living, social, and communication needs.
- Support, coach, and train youth in age-appropriate behaviors, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and appropriate relations with peers and adults in recreational and social activities as per a behavioral health treatment plan.
- Supervise interactions and engage the youth in discussions about strategies for effective handling of peer interactions.
- Engage the youth in community activities aligned with treatment goals (anticipatory guidance, role playing, skill acquisition, social and recreational activities, etc.).
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a human services field plus two years of experience working with children
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
