Caregiver Home Health Aide

Responsibilities

• One to One Care, Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, based on the individualized care plan.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Administer medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's physical and mental condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, promoting emotional well-being and companionship.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, and other activities as needed.
• Document care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.

• Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or completion of a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) training program or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in home healthcare or a related field is preferred.
• Compassion, empathy, and a genuine interest in improving the lives of others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to the unique needs of each client.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if required for home visits.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
