Working nights, you will provide excellent patient care for all age groups in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment. The role requires a commitment to delivering culturally competent, evidence‑based care while supporting the overall mission of Atlanti Care.
Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team and collaborates with physicians to deliver culturally competent care. The RN manages the nursing care process—assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation—documented in the plan of care and coordinated with the medical treatment plan. The RN also supports performance‑improvement initiatives, contributes to professional development, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Assessment – gather subjective and objective patient data.
- Planning – identify problems, set goals, and document a holistic plan of care.
- Intervention – implement orders consistent with the plan of care and the medical treatment plan.
- Evaluation – assess effectiveness of interventions, revise the plan as needed, and document outcomes.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
- Support performance‑improvement initiatives and lead professional development efforts.
- BSN preferred; if not, enrollment in a BSN program within 1 year.
- Current RN license in New Jersey or a valid multi‑state license.
- BLS required.
- Valid NJ Driver’s License required for all employees in the Adult and Child Partial Programs.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire; PALS or ENPC within 12 months.
- Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical or emergency department experience preferred.
- Continuous education: 8 contact hours in basic trauma assessment annually, 8 contact hours in stroke assessment annually, and maintenance of PALS/ENPC.
- Staff must obtain CPI within 6 months of hire and maintain compliance indefinitely.
